Meet Todd David

Entrepreneurs and  foodies with a passion for BBQ. With 15 years of BBQ experience, founders of Cattleack Barbeque in Dallas, they built one of the top 10 BBQ joints in Texas. Todd has developed a strong set of skills and has a proven track record of successes.

 

After graduating college at Missouri State University, he started in business at the young age of 22, washing windows in the Park Cities area and turned that into a first class commercial carpet and upholstery cleaning business. 

Developing relationships with the commercial real estate industry, his cleaning business quickly grew and evolved into a Commercial Disaster Restoration company that he ran for just short of 30 years. During that time he met the love of his life, Misty and she became his business partner and together they rose to the top of their field.

 

Selling both businesses Todd and Misty decided to embark on his love of BBQ. Thus, Cattleack Barbeque was founded in 2010 and was soon after recognized as number 3 on the Top 50 BBQ joints in Texas Monthly magazine. Quickly going from a hidden gem in the middle of an industrial park to rising to becoming a destination BBQ joint drawing people from around the world just to get a bite of his delicious smoked meats and housemade sides and desserts.

 

Soon everyone was talking about this little spot that was only open a couple of days a week for lunch. Recognized by D Magazine, Food & Wine, the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Observer, Addison magazine, Conde’ Nast Traveler, Southern Living and recently awarded Bib Gourmand by Michelin, Cattleack BBQ is one of the leading BBQ companies in the nation.

 

They sold the BBQ business in 2023 and are ready for their next endeavor.  NEXTEP Q is a BBQ community focused upon Education, Collaboration and Success Coaching. Our goal is to create a community of people that can learn from each other and get one on one coaching all in one place. Todd has been cooking BBQ for most of his life and wants to share his knowledge with the BBQ community
